Under the hood of the 2027 Traverse sits a 2.5L turbo four-cylinder. Its output of 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque flows through an 8-speed automatic, and it runs on regular unleaded. Front-wheel drive is standard on the LT, RS and High Country, with all-wheel drive available on each. The Z71 comes only with all-wheel drive, using an Advanced Twin-Clutch AWD System, and it also gets Terrain Mode and Hill Descent Control.

For scallop season trips out of Homosassa, the standard Trailering Package lets every Traverse tow up to 5,000 pounds, and according to the Chevrolet owner's manual, Terrain Mode on the Z71 can help pull a boat trailer out of the water. EPA estimates come in at 20 city and 26 highway MPG with front-wheel drive, or 20 city and 24 highway with all-wheel drive.

Chevrolet fits every 2027 Traverse with a 17.7-inch diagonal touchscreen and an 11-inch driver information screen. A select service plan activates Google built-in services on the center display, including Maps, Play apps and the available Gemini assistant. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto link compatible phones without a cable.

Wireless charging, front USB-A and USB-C ports, and second-row USB ports are standard, as is Wi-Fi hotspot capability. You can check on the kids without turning around: the Interior Camera, new for 2027, uses Cabin Glance to display the second and third rows on the center screen. RS and High Country include the camera, and LT and Z71 buyers can add it.

Every trim includes Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, Following Distance Indicator and IntelliBeam auto high beams.

Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Zone Steering Assist lend a hand on busy stretches of US-19, while Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking and Rear Cross Traffic Braking help at intersections and in crowded parking lots, and all four are standard. Seven seats come standard across the 2027 Traverse lineup. Every trim pairs rear air conditioning with tri-zone automatic climate control, the third row has 32.1 inches of legroom for real passengers rather than just backpacks, and an eighth seat is available on the LT through a second-row bench.

Heated front seats come on every trim, and upholstery ranges from premium cloth on the LT to Evotex Ultra on the RS and High Country, where ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats and a Memory Package are standard. Even with every seat in use, 22.9 cubic feet of cargo space waits behind the third row, and folding both rear rows opens up 98 cubic feet, a figure Chevrolet says leads its class.

The 2027 Traverse measures 204.4 inches long (204.7 inches for the Z71), and the four trims look distinctly different. Z71 models ride on 18-inch high-gloss black machined-face wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, and they get a skid plate along with an off-road suspension. On the RS, the look turns sporty with black badging, a blacked-out grille and 22-inch high-gloss black painted wheels.

High Country gets the biggest refresh for 2027: a new badge on the front doors and liftgate, Tritan Satin grille and headlamp accents, and 22-inch high-gloss black machined-face wheels. Trillium Green Metallic joins the color list on every trim and Twilight Blue arrives on RS and High Country. Every trim also comes standard with a hands-free AutoSense Power Liftgate.
