Tow/Haul mode is meant for heavy loads, and it retunes the shift schedule, suspension and steering effort along with Trailer Sway Control. Automatic Engine Grade Braking helps hold your speed on downgrades. Z71 owners at a Homosassa boat ramp can also use Terrain Mode, which Chevrolet says can help pull a boat trailer out of the water. Chevrolet notes that the trailering capacity of a specific vehicle may vary, and that the weight of passengers, cargo and options or accessories may reduce how much it can tow.

With all three rows in use, the 2027 Traverse holds 22.9 cubic feet behind the third row. The hands-free AutoSense Power Liftgate is standard and opens when the key fob is within three feet of the rear of the vehicle for three seconds. On equipped models, switches in the cargo area can fold the rear seats. All four trims come with roof rails. With the available cross rails mounted, the owner's manual caps roof cargo at 220 pounds or the weight listed in the cross rail instructions, whichever is lower, and that total includes the rails themselves plus any bike racks or roof boxes.
